JOYCE LU, PhD

I am a performing artist, bodysoul worker and professor of theatre, connecting art practice, healing, and social justice. With a strong background in applied theatre techniques, somatic education, and psychodrama, I’ve been performing and teaching for over 25 years with the goal of improving myself and others. I am invested in the full expression of each individual in community with other individuals, the environment, and spirit. At the root of all my work is story. Knowing one’s own story through the body and the mind and being mindful of history is the foundation on which we create new pathways for more freedom of movement for all.
